MINIMAL CRIMINAL is a dark minimal progressive psytrance project from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. It was formed by Dj's Valerio Zhyin and Bruno Echoes in the beginning of 2003. Their tracks are around 133-140 bpm, often with a dark night time vibe, bizarre psychedelic effects and crazy samples.
Hello friends! We have updated our official web site. Our album "Minimus Maleficarum" is finally available in the site as 24-bit wav files as well as 320 mp3s. Nowhere else can you find the album in 24-bit quality. These are the same files we use in our live sets!
You can either buy the album tracks separately or the entire album as a big (1GB) archive. The whole album download comes with some special surprises unavailable anywhere. Oh, and it's cheaper to buy than in other online shops.
Besides the album, we added many other Minimal Criminal tracks, old and new. Some of them are available for FREE!
The track "Defeat"(FREE download) was featured in Computer Music magazine(issue 161), the best selling music software magazine in the world, and it received a very good review.

- A new Minimal Criminal track called Mary Poppin' Pills will be released in a free compilation from Uroboros records called Cyberpunk Chronicles vol.3. This compilation will be available from Ektoplazm. This track is sure to ignite dancefloors everywhere, day or night.
- Minimal Criminal is collaborating with Tripinstumble in a track called Baaraparchuterphobia for the next CCR compilation called "Phobophobia"
- Soundmute Recordings will release a Minimal Criminal digital EP called Apollyon with remixes from Cujorius One and Opsy sometime within the next few months.

-In March, Cosmic Conspiracy records released their newest compilation called "Geek Mythology", featuring a Minimal Criminal track called "Tao of Yoda". This bombastic release is currently only available in digital format from online stores such as Beatport. February 15, Halu Beats, the new sub-label of Psylife Music will release their first compilation - Halu Beats Vol.1. The comp will include Minimal Criminal track "Graverobbers from Outer Space". As it says on the Halu Beats myspace page ( the official site is coming up ) :

DJ Zhyin is currently working on the material for the first full-length album, which will be released by Cosmic Conspiracy records.
Two Minimal Criminal tracks will be released sometime within the next few months.
Bio-Sine rec.(Australia) will release "Red Mongolian Deathworm" on their 2nd compilation cd, and the new Hungarian label, Halu beats, will release "Graverobbers from Outer Space".
In the end of June 2007 , dj Zhyin left Brazil and moved back to the U.S.A, the country where he grew up. The other half of Minimal Criminal, Bruno Echoes, remains in Brazil and continues to perform Minimal Criminal live sets there. Bruno will be performing at the Universo Paralello festival this year alongside some of our favorite artists such as Sensient, Sun Control Species, and Tetrameth.
At the present time, Dj Zhyin is on vacation in Israel until the end of January. So far , he has performed at the Psyspirit Rosh Hashana forest party(11/09 ) , the Sakaya bar(Tel Aviv) alongside Marcus( X-Dream) and appeared on the Kol Ha Kampus 106FM Hafirot radio. This New Year's eve Zhyin performed a Minimal Criminal live set at the Senka Tribe urban gathering at Kulture club in Tel Aviv on December 31st.

Cosmic Conspiracy records will release 2 MINIMAL CRIMINAL tracks in their forthcoming "THE PLOT THICKENS" (Crotus vs Cosmic Conspiracy)" compilation cd in June.
The tracks are "Dark Lord Of The Synth" and "MOSES-Trukket I Lyden (MINIMAL CRIMINAL remix)".
The cd will also contain the track,"Flying Saucers" from Bruno's progressive trance side project, DOPPED.
Our next gig will be in Joinville (Santa Catarina) at the Fusion party on May 19th. We'll perform alongside S.U.N Project and Vibra.
Minimal Criminal now has a new member, Lady Omega. She's the singer from Zhyin's gothic electronic project, Kaiaphas. Omega will perform some vocals and synth in our live sets from now on.
The new Hungarian label Halu Beats will release the track "Graverobbers From Outer Space" in their first compilation .The cd should be released sometime this European summer.
The label is also planning to release the track, "Tao of Yoda", in their 2nd compilation.
The track "True Type Format" from Zhyin will be featured on the compilation cd from Freeze magazine. The cd was compiled by Dj Oscuro from Israel . The magazine should be out very soon.
We are proud to announce the release of the track "ZULU PAZUZU" on the upcoming "THE LURKER" cd (Cosmic Conspiracy rec.). The cd should be coming out in early June.
Eventhough our track is quite old already, we can't wait until we hear the mastered version.
28 December - 03 January 2006, Minimal Criminal will do a live set at Universo Paralello #6 - Music, Art & Alternative Culture Festival in Bahia. The festival will happen on Pratigi Beach.
We have recently finished our remix of the MOSES track,"TRUKKET I LYDEN" and we're quite happy with it..check out a sample in the mp3 section of this site.
Another new track we have for sale is "HOLY MACRO". This bouncy tune rocks at 138 bpm but never gets too heavy. It just pumps along the whole way through with lots of nice sounds and samples.do check this one out too!
